Giotto scholar and film critic; notes about Cecchi's opinions appear in Richard Offner's annotated catalog of the 1937 Mostra Giottesca. He acted as the translator of Italian Painters of the Renaissance by Bernard Berenson (q.v.). His son (?) is the art historian Alessandro Cecchi.
