Dohme, Robert Date born: 1845 Place Born: Berlin Date died:1893 Place died: Konstanz Early exponent of the Baroque as an area of study in art history. Dohme was among the first group of art historians to consider the Baroque an area worthy of art historical study, including Cornelius Gurlitt (q.v.), Heinrich Wölfflin (q.v.), Albert Brinckmann (q.v.), August Schmarsow (q.v.), Alois Riegl (q.v.), and Adolf Feulner (q.v.).
