Erlande-Brandenburg, Alain Date born: 1937 Place Born: Date died: Place died: Medievalist, chief curator of the Musee de Cluny and the Musee d'Ecouen; president of the French Society of Archaeology. Erlande-Brandenburg was chosen to write a number of French-language surveys on medieval art. In 1983 he produced the Gothic art volume for the Editions d’Art Mazenod and in 1987 volume 34 in the Univers des formes (survey) series on medieval art, 1260-1380.
