Congratulations, Monique Daniels, 10 Years at the DAH

Monique Daniels (MD) one of only two consistent writers to the Dictionary of Art Historians, celebrates her tenth year with the project in 2010. Although her concentration has been on Dutch and Belgian art historians, Daniels has written on French and German scholars of art as well. Her background in art history, with degrees from both the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, and Leiden University, and her facilities in the Dutch and French languages, immediately provided a breadth of research previously unaddressed. Over 120 entries bear her initials after the entry; these remain among the most thorough and unique in the Dictionary. In addition, Daniels was for many years a docent at Duke University's Nasher Museum of Art. She and her husband, a distinguished Syriac scholar, live in Durham, NC.

The Editor and the numerous users of the DAH honor Ms Daniels for her contribution to pro bono scholarship and her allegiance to quality, free research on the internet.
