Rintelen, Friedrich Date born: February 20, 1881 Place Born: Berlin, Germany Date died: May 4, 1926 Place died: Catania, Italy Giotto scholar and professor of art, Basle. His undergraduate students at Basle included Hans Hahnloser. His methodology was carried on by Theodor Hetzer. Rintelen's opinions were so valued they were pencilled in as notes by Richard Offner in Offner's copy of the 1937 catalog Mostra Giottesca.
